The aim of this paper is to study the effect of very low dose gamma radiation exposure on the plasmonic behavior of gold nanoparticles. For this purpose, gold nanoparticles were exposed to three different dose rates of radiation, with the absorbed doses of 0.33, 0.56 and 0.75 milligray. Subsequently, the effect of radiation exposure on the color of the solution, which is due to the accumulation of nanoparticles in the presence of salt, was investigated using visible spectroscopy.
